Why Bright Tools?

  • What are Bright Tools?

As you have begun to notice we talk a lot about our process and how it makes us different as a design firm. We cannot stress this point enough, we feel being sensitive to the tools we use to explore issues and ideas, inspire us to create the best possible product that solves the problem at hand. We will be hosting a series of workshops that teach a different approach to problem-solving. Those who attend these workshops will get to experience problem-solving like a designer.

  • Who should attend?
I know I said professionals, but I mean anyone involved in the creation of products and services that wants to continue to push their understanding of the design process.
  • Where do the workshops take place?
We, generally, host our workshops in our studio. We want to share with you the same explorative, energy we create in our space on a daily basis. Or, we will come to your company for a private workshop.
  • How many people attend these workshops?
The workshops hinge on small group activities and are generally held to between 12 and 24 attendees.
  • Why is a product design firm doing this?
It is important to be transparent about how designers work. We believe that through this transparency and understanding multidisciplinary teams of designers, engineers, and business professionals will be better suited to solve problems.
  • How long does a workshop take?
It depends. Some workshops are designed to take place in a half-day or a few hours others span the entire workday. This is driven by he workshop session being taught. We will be sure to specify in each online description as we value the time of our attendees.
  • What will I get out of a workshop?
Each class deals with one tool that comprises the toolbox a designer approaches a problem with to reach a solution. The more workshops you attend the better suited an attendee will be to work with designers in the future. We hope that at every workshop our students will walk away with insights and perspective on the creation process they did not already possess.
