Opportunity Research

Are you uncovering enough good opportunities? Find new possibilities. Prepare for intensely focused ideation. Your team will learn how to get context. You will understand a marketplace and who the people in that market really are. What do they want and need? What are the rules they follow? Do the research. Go out and get real insights. Understand how look for information that will lead to new products and services. Bright will coach you in how to get information about customers in new ways and how to use that to generate new product ideas. You’ll be on your way to becoming market anthropologists.

Opportunity Selection

Have you already done your homework? Do you have a list of opportunities, but you’re not sure where to start? Which are the best ones for you? Our team will work with you to put these opportunities into your context. You and your team will develop criteria and learn how to get at the information that will allow you to measure those opportunities. Make informed choices.

Context Research

Are you already focused on an important market or opportunity space? How do you get the most information you can about what those customers need? You and your team will deeply explore a single opportunity space, mining it for real needs and new ways you can do business in that space. You will learn how to get deep insights and how make sense of what you’re seeing from customers. You will define a very specific opportunity and prepare to find new ways to meet that opportunity.

Solution Development 

This is not typical brainstorming. You will focus intensely on a single opportunity. Your team will learn how to bring the right information into the session. Get new, focused ideas. Make the most of your time. Learn how to prepare for an ideation session and dig deeper into opportunities. Bring in designers and experts to get more power in your brainstorming. Get past the obvious answers and the ideas you’ve tried before. You’ll learn to put your ideas into a form that is ready for the next step. Keep your ideas moving toward realization.

Idea Incubation and Filtering

How good are the ideas in your pipeline? Which solutions are the good ones? Which ideas should you pursue? How do you get more out of them? Your team will take ideas you have generated and push them even further. Your team will develop and use new tools to make choices about which ideas to take further. You will narrow your focus to one or two very specific product ideas.

Have you had the same new product development projects for too long? Your team will take an idea and measure it against and the capabilities of your organization. We will work with you to refine the concept, develop a plan for next steps and identify important risks.
